The Blue Bell Inn is purportedly named after the boat of a local privateer, who, legend has it, was hanged for his piracy and buried in the cemetery next to Halkyn Castle. We sit on top of Halkyn Mountain with spectacular views over the Dee and Mersey rivers. Real fires in winter add to the warm welcome. We always have our own Blue Bell Bitter and other regularly changing real ales.

The 'View from the Blue' - looking across the Dee estuary to The Wirral in England.

We are in the Good Beer Guide 2006, Good Pub Guide 2006, Good Cider Guide and are Cask Marque
accredited. Our menu features locally sourced homemade and traditional meals to suit every appetite. Within a few miles you will find golf courses, horse riding and trekking facilities, still water trout or coarse fisheries, as well as sea fishing in the River Dee estuary.
For walkers, there is Halkyn Common and a network of footpaths, while for motorists there are quiet country lanes through breathtaking scenery.

Facilities. :- Car park, Beer garden, Real ale, Food, Open fire, Pool table, Child friendly, Dogs allowed
